Annabella showing us the Dove (I think it is a dove) that was hanging out on her finger.

Last year while we were visiting Traverse City. We along with some of the cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandma visited Cognition in Beulah. Cognitions website says they are Science and Discovery Center, although true, they offer so much more. There are animals you can touch and hold, play structures, science centers, art centers, games centers and more! Everyone loved Cognitions. Uncle Alex even got to pretend to drive a plane. LOL

Cognition is relatively new to the area, having opened in 2017. It is a non-profit and is funded by admission and membership fees as well as the gift shop, program services and community support.

Originally located in just 800 square feet next to the post office in downtown Beulah, they quickly outgrew the space. In 2019, Cognitions was gifted a building on US31 by the John and Kay Miller Family. The community came together with hundreds of hours of support to get the building ready.

You know it is a special place, a place the community values when you see how much time, effort and money was provided by local supporters. Cognition is located at 232 N. Michigan Ave, Beulah and is an extremely easy 30-minute drive from our home and well worth the drive. Admission is very reasonable at only $8 per person for ages 2 and older and covers you for the whole day. You can leave and grab a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants and then return for more fun. If you plan to visit the area more frequently, they offer Family Memberships for as low as $90 annually. We highly recommend visiting Cognitions even if you do not have kids, we had a blast!
